Laula Fritz was born in Heilbronn, Germany in 1964. She studied psychology and theater science in Vienna, Austria and shortly thereafter, began pursuing her passion in architecture and photography. Several projects include the Lichtenstein Chapel in Vienna and exhibitions in Vienna and Galisteo, New Mexico.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Nizhoni School for Global Consciousness in 1998, where she also designed a new campus for the school. After living in Galisteo for four years, she lived in Fort Collins, Colorado where she designed residential architectural projects.
Laula currently lives in New York and Berlin.
She perceives the buildings she works with as living beings. “I talk to them and bring them back to life into present time. It is a very intimate conversation and you have to honor their personalities”. With her photography, she is most interested in colors and shapes, creating a balance between light and reflection.
